Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is a next-gen game and will also contain support for next-gen console features. Ubisoft has revealed some information on the difference between current gen and next-gen versions of the game.

“The game will also be available on Next Gen consoles,”  Jean Guesdon, Creative Director revealed.

“In addition to improved graphics and physic, Next Gen versions will bring to the players new connected features allowing them to feel that even if they remain “Single Player” it will be better to be a “Single Connected Player”.

“I mean, that Next Gen Consoles will allow players to have a solo experience that benefit the presence of a huge community.”

There may also be some PS4 controller specific features which we hope they will be revealing later. Microsoft’s next-gen console will most probably be revealed in April, and we may have more information on the game then or at E3.

Meanwhile, you can read our preview of the game here. The box arts for all the current gen versions were also revealed and they look awesome.
