It was earlier reported that Assassin’s Creed 4 would ship on the same date on the next gen consoles, which led to the speculation that the consoles would be released around October.
That was not true as the creative director of the game, Jean Guesdon, has clarified these comments and has said that he meant something else.
The game has been confirmed to be releasing on next gen consoles but we do not have a release date for the consoles yet. We do know that the PS4 will be released during the holiday season this year.
The same ship date comment was only for the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U versions, Ubisoft told VG247. He has no idea about when the next gen consoles will come out and even if he does he will never say that because of NDA.
