The system runs on Tegra 3 chip.

OUYA

Ouya may cost $99 and may perform in line with other Tegra 3 devices but it’s extremely outdated when you compare it with other Android devices. The console is said to be a generation old than what we have today.

It ranks 73 in the Android power league table, when benchmarked with Futuremark and is ahead of Google’s Nexus 7 but does not match LG’s Nexus 4 smartphone.

Galaxy S IV absolutely destroys it. There’s a massive price difference but considering the Ouya doesn’t come with a screen or camera–which are some of the expensive parts of a smartphone–the comparison seems valid somewhat but it does perform as advertised and is based on a Tegra 3 chip.

We have a video which shows the results of Ouya against various devices. These are dev kit models of the console.

According to the description in the video: ” The score here should not be taken as an indication of how well the retail/kickstarter version will perform.
