Nintendo is all set to post another loss of 18.7 billion yen for this fiscal year, the company has announced. The core products like the Wii U and 3DS were expected to do much better but the earnings aren’t as much as they expected.

“While Nintendo struggles with its main business, a weakening of the yen may give some relief, as it boosts the value of overseas earnings. The Japanese currency has depreciated about 13 percent against the U.S. dollar this year and touched a four-year low of 99.95 on April 11,” the Bloomberg article read.

“That may enable the company to post net income of 14 billion yen tomorrow, the company said in January.”

It’s not clear whether Iwata will resign due to this or not but plenty of CEO’s this year have resigned due to poor performance like EA’s John Riccitiello and Square Enix’s Yoichi Wada.
