Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood crosses 1 million mark

Ubisoft’s latest Assassin’s Creed game has sold 1 million units in UK alone, confirmed the publisher.

This takes the franchises lifetime sells to over 20 million units and if all goes by plan, it will be reaching 30 million by end of next year.

The figures were confirmed by, Geoffroy Sardin, in a interview withMCV:

“If you compare [the 1m in a week] with last year’s ACII sales this is a big jump – so it’s a great achievement.

“It’s the best launch in the history of Ubisoft’s European sales, and our best-selling launch title ever.”

He also stated that more than 60% of ACB players have also tried out the game’s multiplayer mode, which is a first for the series.

He also reconfirmed, studio boss’s Yves Guillemot’s earlier comments that a new Assassin’s Creed game will be releasing in 2012.

“Yes, Yves mentioned it last week in our financials – and more details will be forthcoming. But what I can say is that next year we will have another big Assassin’s Creed game.”

ACB is out now for PS3 and Xbox 360. A PC version is also planned but has not release date yet.
