Konami’s PES 2014, their newest installment in the long running soccer sim franchise, and one that promises to restore the games to their former glory after more than half a decade of EA’s FIFA’s dominance, will offer a full suite of online gameplay options for players, including the Return of Master League Online and 11 vs. 11 Multiplayer Play.
A free day one patch will immediately unlock friendly match options for players, in addition to online leaderboards and stat tracking. This patch will only unlock a limited range of features, and a second patch offered in the weeks following the game’s release will unlock the full suite of online options that the game has to offer to players.
PES 2014 is looking like a return to form for the beleaguered series, that in recent years has been left behind by EA Sports’ superior FIFA series. It uses Kojima’s Fox Engine to allow for realistic gameplay and sophisticated AI. It launches September 24, 2013. Stay tuned for our review.
