Team17 Picks Up Prison Break Game ‘The Escapists’

This has nothing to do with either the website or the TV show.

Team17, the publishers of the Worms series, have just picked up the prison break game ‘The Escapists’ as their second third party published title.

Yes, it’s a prison break game, and has nothing to do with the website whatsoever.

The Escapists was crowd funded on Kickstarter last year; developed Mouldy Toof, who are the guys behind Spud’s Quest, the game was later on also put successfully on Valve’s Steam Greenlight service.

It’s another game in the same vein as Minecraft and Terraria (although the graphical style is obviously more reminiscent of the latter than the former; not the gameplay style though, which is top down), and will involve players managing time and resources.

Check out the trailer above and see what you think.

The Escapists will be releasing on PC some time later this year. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage on this novel and interesting looking indie title.
