Tecmo Koei announced that Deception IV, the fourth installment in the strategy action game series that started with Devil’s Deception back on the PlayStation in 1996, will be hitting the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on March 28.
Deception IV will feature a twist on the franchise’s established and classic gameplay style by having the player play on the side of ‘evil’ this time around- specifically, Laegrinna will be assisted by three Daemons who will assist her in her quest: Veruza, Caelea and Lilia.who represent Sadistic Torment, Elaborate Death and Humiliating Demise respectively, and who will reward points and upgrades every time Laegrinna chooses to use one of their traps to escape her rivals.
It promises to be an action game with a twist, and especially on the rather bleak game landscape of the PlayStation Vita, it might even manage to find more success in the west than any past game in the series has thus far. We’ll find out soon enough. Stay tuned to GamingBolt.
