Pachter places his bets on 3DS to beat PSP2

Industry analyst Pachter has stated to IncGamers that he feels Nintendo’s new hand-held, the 3DS, will trump Sony’s rumoured PSP2 to win the hand-held console war. Pachter claims that 3DS will be more likely to “capture consumer’s imagination,” and he also told IncGamers that “I think this is Kinect vs. Move all over again:  Kinect is outselling Move because Kinect is new and different, while Move is very similar to the Wii.

“I think that the 3DS will outsell the PSP2, because the 3DS is new and different, while the PSP2 is likely going to be a souped up version of the old PSP.  Thus, I think that 3DS will have greater success in capturing the consumer’s imagination.”
