Payday 2, the original heist based action shooter game (*cough cough Battlefield Hardline*) will also be coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as Payday 2: Crimewave Edition, 505 Games announced at E3. The game originally launched last year for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
We haven’t exactly been told much else about the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 port- all we know is that it will bring with it a host of bonus content and enhanced features to the newer consoles. But we don’t know anything else, for example, we haven’t even been told when the game is due for a release.
This seems to be part of a new push to make Payday popular on consoles after a fair bit of neglect of the console versions in favor of the PC versions. For instance, just yesterday, a fair bit of new DLC was announced for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game.
