Today, Ubisoft announced that Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Phantoms will be getting a new game update, bringing the version number up to 1.2. The new update retools the game’s weapons to change their balance based on feedback that Ubisoft has gotten since the game’s release a few weeks ago. Apart from the mechanical changes, the game will also retool and rebalance simple things like movement, as well as player progression through ranks and classes.

To celebrate all of these changes, Ubisoft has also announced a new Steam weekend promotion for this game- from July 11 to July 14, for a period of three days, players can download one free starter bundle for the game free, for a total of up to three bundles (roughly $30 in terms of value). That’s a pretty good deal, and a great way to get into this game, if you were thinking about doing that at all.
