Undoubtedly one of the most anticipated and awaited games of next year is the Wii U exclusive Xenoblade Chronicles X, the sequel to critically acclaimed Wii exclusive role playing game by Monolith Soft, that has continued to impress people with its amazing graphics and its scope since its announcement a year and a half ago.

The game is still a ways from release, but a recent EDGE blowout about numerous upcoming Nintendo games revealed a mind-blowing fact about the upcoming game: it’s map size will be more than five times the map size in the original Xenoblade Chronicles.

A lot of  people didn’t actually get to play Xenoblade Chronicles, so let me explain why this is a big deal: the map in Xenoblade was massive. It was probably one of the biggest open worlds of last generation. Xenoblade X has already impressed people with its sheer scope in all the media that we have gotten for it so far, which includes what looks like a seamless, continuous open world with great graphical fidelity, so the fact that it will be doing and maintaining that over a game world that big? That is freaking amazing, man.
