A little while back, we commented on some confusion surrounding the resolution of the upcoming, but delayed Assassin’s Creed Unity. Since then, Ubisoft have spoken out to address the issue.
The whole situation kicked off when the game’s description made available via the PSN where the listing states (and continues to do so) that the game supported “720p HD Video Output” and this, of course, started a chain of rumours. It turns out that the error wasn’t even related to the game. Dualshockers.com reached out to Ubisoft and where issued with the following statement.
“That particular description isn’t talking about the game resolution – it references the capacity of the hardware output. As such, it was listed incorrectly and is currently being updated. The update should be made in the next few days but again, that listing is referencing the capacity output of the hardware and not the game.”
And there you have it, just a simple mistake that is soon to be corrected. Rest peacefully good assassins. The game is due in November for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. For more on the game check out its wiki here.
