This could be very epic indeed!

Mortal Kombat X

Today, Warner Bros. announced that they are making tie-in content for Mortal Kombat X in the form of a live action series being worked on in a partnership with Blue Ribbon Content, a new team geared towards making shorter productions that’s owned by Warner Bros.

Mortal Kombat is awesome and Mortal Kombat X looks just as cool as we could have imagined, I’m glad we mostly agree on that. But what about the live action Mortal Kombat stuff? It’s fairly awful and universally acclaimed in that “it’s so bad it’s good” sort of way.

That was until Mortal Kombat Legacy came along and gave us hope. Then Mortal Kombat Legacy II came along and proved that it was possible to make decent live action content. The Legacy series is developed by Machinima and Warner Bros. I’m thoroughly interested in seeing how this pans out, I need more Sub Zero vs Scorpion live action fights to geek out over.
