Watch Dogs (Finally) Releases on Wii U This Week

Better never than late, in this case.

Watch Dogs wet road

Watch Dogs released earlier this year (back in May, to be specific) on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC. But maybe some of you remember that the game was originally announced for Wii U too, and was meant to be coming to that system simultaneously with the others, before it was announced that it would be getting a staggered release.

Well, now that staggered release is finally happening- Watch Dogs on Wii U will be launching tomorrow, November 18, both digitally over the Nintendo eShop, as well as at retail. The title also represents, at least for now, Ubisoft’s last ‘mature’ release for the platform, as they have confirmed that going forward, they will support Nintendo’s console only with games like Just Dance and the like.

If you somehow have not already played the game and still want to despite the middling reviews and controversy surrounding the game, or if you just want to show support for mature third party multiplatform releases on Wii U (though really, that’s just a lost cause at this point), go ahead and purchase this one.

Or, you know, save your money for Super Smash Bros.
