Tom Clancy’s The Division New Screenshot Shows off Times Square

Ring in the new year with cautious optimism.

The Division

Had you shown me this image in October or November of last year, then I might have been extremely excited Ubisoft’s upcoming, hyper ambiguous third person shooter, Tom Clancy’s The Division. But following their recent escapades, see Assassin’s Creed Unity, Far Cry 4, Watch_Dogs and Uplay in general, I find myself leaning more towards concern than excitement.

Showing of the easily recognisable and somewhat iconic Times Square in New York, the image certainly captures the mood of The Division. And having the Happy New Year sign and clock illuminated by flare light was a nice touch of visual design. Though if you are sharp eyed, you may notice that the clock reads 11:55 rather than 00:00. So perhaps something is about to happen at midnight and this image is a glimpse into a danger zone of sorts?

Public interest The Division is very high at the minute, but faith in Ubisoft is low, so they really need to start pulling out all the stops if they hope to have a successful 2015. This is their second Tom Clancy game that’s expected this year alongside Tom Clancy’s Siege.
