Attendee’s at GDC range from the high to the mighty. One such mighty attendee would be Bungie, the developers of the hugely popular, if somewhat divisive, online shooter Destiny. Destiny has been in the news lately regarding the great value for money Limited Edition that was made available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One which sold out in many retailers in a matter of minutes.

Now Bungie have announced a really rather impressive figure when it comes to registered Destiny players. Speaking at GDC, Bungie have confirmed that there is in excess of 17,000,000 registered players in Destiny, with more than 1,000,000 having registered in the last month alone.

They also revealed that the average amount of time a person plays Destiny daily is around three hours. Ever since the game’s launch players have collectively killed more than 200 billion enemy aliens and that the average logged play time clocks in at an impressive 77 hours.

This is just proof that Destiny is a successful and popular game, despite the countless claims that say otherwise.
