When Nintendo announced the Nintendo World Championship as a central part of their E3 plans, I am sure the question that came unbidden to most of you all’s minds was- exactly how do you enter these? Personally, I would like nothing more than to participate in some Nintendo gaming action, but I need to know how.

Today, Nintendo announced exactly how to go about it. The road to the Nintendo World Championships 2015 will begin with qualifiers on May 30 at eight Best Buy stores across the U.S. If you want to participate in the World Championships, you need to be at one of these eight Best Buy stores at the right time and date, and qualify for the finals during E3.

    Miami, Florida
  • 900 E. Golf Road
    Schaumburg, Illinois
  • 12905 Elm Creek Blvd. N
    Maple Grove, Minnesota
  • 9378 N. Central Expressway
    Dallas, Texas

The qualifiers themselves will see players trying to score high scores on the Championship Mode of Ultimate NES Remix on the Nintendo 3DS; however, according to Nintendo, that won’t be what the final Championship will be like. Instead, they only tell us that it will feature a ‘variety of games.’

Stay tuned, and we’ll keep you posted on exactly which ones.
