Destiny The Taken king

Destiny: The Taken King is pretty big deal considering all the prep that has gone into launching the DLC. How many times have you actually seen downloadable content for a game get it’s own console bundle? Well, you actually can buy a PS4 bundle that is specially dedicated to the Taken King, that’s just how much emphasis Bungie is putting on this DLC. Before the new content is actually available, the devs are being pretty forthcoming about how much work there is still left to do.

Creative director Luke Smith recently sat down for an interview where he talked about just how much work there was to do before it’s official launch. He also said that no one at Bungie is quite satisfied with what Destiny is right now. “It’s like a job in progress that has a ridiculous amount of work in front of us and huge amount of potential that we haven’t met at all in a bunch of ways. We’ve met it in other ways, but that potential is the thing we’re still chasing.”

Part of what the company is working on was divulged by Smith on the official Bungie website. The company is looking to “questify” more content when it comes to year two of Destiny. Smith showed off the new quest pages that will be a big part of the game going forward. However, one very interesting quote stuck out in the Weekly Update when Smith said, “In the coming weeks and months, we’re going to be using this space to look at some of the big changes coming in Destiny: The Taken King this Fall.”

What other big changes can we expect? Whatever it may be, you can expect more information on “Guns, Balance, Progression, Destinations and Enemies” in the weeks leading up to The Taken King’s release on September 15th.
