The files for the PC version of Star Wars: Battlefront’s beta have revealed some very interesting thing- digging around in the files, enterprising PC players have been able to find details that have not yet leaked, and all of them sound very exciting indeed. These files indicate that classic Star Wars characters such as Han Solo, Princess Leia, and the Emperor, none of whom have actually been confirmed for the game yet, may in fact be in.
You can see this for yourself- assuming you are running the PC version of the beta, all you have to do is go to program files, origin games, and battlefront, click on the data folder, then the win32 folder. Find the file called “characters.sb” and start poking around in it- there you will find files for Han Solo, Princess Leia and Emperor Palpatine.
That’s nerdgasmic enough, but it is not all- another file “/data/challenges/forest_chapter_25_herobattle” seems to indicate that a new game mode called Hero Hunt will be in the game too. We don’t know what Hero Hunt is, but it sounds like a shooting gallery where you have to snipe all the famous Star Wars characters. I’m down.
