Ark: Survival Evolved has had quite a successful run on the PC, despite the fact it’s technically in the early access stage. With the game coming to the Xbox One later this month, it appears the title is going to be getting in front of more eyeballs and that can only be good news for the developers. In the same vein of good news, it appears the game will be running fairly well on the Xbox One when it does hit.
Jesse Rapczak, Co-Founder of the game’s developer, Studio Wildcard took to Twitter to give the first details of his game, which will be launching in Game Preview mode soon. He was asked what the game has been running in the testing before it’s launch and he responded: “Depends on lots of things but usually between 30-45 FPS at launch.” Jesse also brought some new details about the fact that the game on the PC will be getting some of the best Xbox One optimizations in able to make it look as though it’s uniform on both platforms.
“Lotta questions about optimization on @Xbox – runs and looks great, lots of XB1-specific optimizations – more than PC atm!” While most people were interested to find out what the game is going to look like once it comes to the Xbox One, one Twitter user asked whether or not the port would feature split screen co-op. Jesse reported that at least, once the game hits the Xbox One, it won’t have that feature. The developer did say they’re looking at bringing it later. Ark: Survival Evolved is landing on Xbox One on December 16 and will be bringing a $34.99 price-tag with it.
