May is looking to be a rather busy month for game releases this year- we’ve already got Mirror’s Edge Catalyst and Homefront: The Revolution slated to launch in that month, and now, we have another title joining the foray: Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter, the newest installment in the Sherlock Holmes series, which has given us some rather incredible games like The Testament of Sherlock Holmes and Crimes and Punishments: Sherlock Holmes, will be launching on May 27.

The new game will be offering players an open world, freeing them to visit any part of the world at any time, even during investigations, and it will feature gorgeous graphics, what with it being the first game in the series that isn’t launching for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. As always, we’ve also been promised a thrilling new story, one that will be unprecedented in the annals of all of the Holmes mythos- considering just how great some of the stories in these Sherlock Holmes games have been in the past, I’m not disinclined to believe them.
