The newest trailer for the upcoming, highly anticipated PC exclusive strategy game Civilization 6 shows off Norway, one of the many civilizations that will be playable in the new iteration of the long running, premier PC strategy game franchise.
Norway will be a rather unique civilization- headed by Harald Hardrada, the civilization will let you use your naval units to perform coastal raids, not unlike the Norwegian vikings from history. Norway also gets the longship, which can also perform coastal raids, but perhaps more importantly, has the ability to heal in neutral territory. On land, Norway gets the Berserker, which has an advantage for pillaging and attacking, but is vulnerable while defending. Finally, the Stave Church is Norway’s unique building, which provides all the regular benefits of a Temple, but also gets bonuses from adjacent forests or wooded tiles.
All said and done, that sounds like a civilization perfect for more offensive players- such as yours truly. I’m definitely going to be giving Norway a spin once Civilization 6 comes out on October 21 for PC.
