Ubisoft really seem to love and be on board with the Nintendo Switch- which, if rumors about their collaborations with Nintendo are true, makes sense. Which is why it never comes as a surprise when they speak openly and positively about Nintendo’s new machine.

Speaking with Famitsu (via Nintendo Everything) about the Nintendo Switch, Ubisoft EMEA Boss Alain Corre discussed how the company was extremely excited for the Switch, noting that the system ‘expands the possibilities of fun.’ “We have big expectations for the innovative Nintendo Switch. Our Just Dance franchise, for example, is one that people enjoy with families. With the Nintendo Switch in hand, children, their parents, or even their grandparents, would be able to dance out in the backyard on holidays. Doesn’t that sound exciting?”

Of course, to a lot of core gamers, the idea of Just Dance is anything but exciting, which is why Corre’s next words should help allay fears a bit. “The hardware really helps expand the possibilities of fun, people of all ages will be able to play games anywhere. We hope to have a wide variety of software available, but we’re unable to go into details just yet. Sorry!”

Might that new software be the rumored Rabbids and Mario crossover RPG, as well as Beyond Good and Evil 2? Looks like we will find out come January 12, when Nintendo are slated to share more details about the Switch, its launch, and its launch lineup.
