Call of Duty 2017 Maps Will Focus On Second To Second Experiences, Suggests Job Listing

Sledgehammer games may be looking at altering the flow of the game, rather than its structure.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

A new job listing for the development of this year’s Call of Duty title – to be developed by Sledgehammer – has emerged on Activision’s website, and it suggests some interesting stuff.

While most of the requirements and responsibilities mentioned in the listing are about what you would expect them to be in terms of experience and skillsets and the mention of specific programming languages and such, one particular requirement is rather interesting.

It says one of the responsibilities of the person applying will be to “create and iterate on the second to second experiences” in the game. This surely suggests that maps in Call of Duty 2017 will be centered around a gameplay experience that will be centered around altering the flow of the game itself rather than its structure.

There was a leak for Sledgehammer’s 2017 Call of Duty title doing the rounds on the internet recently, but last week we reported that the leak was most definitely a fake. Check out that piece here.
