The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Update 1.2.0 Adds Option For Dual Voice Acting

Now you can hear Zelda cry in Japanese!

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the first game in Nintendo’s long running, storied series to have voice acting- but maybe you don’t like it. Maybe you don’t like the English voices, and would rather switch to the Japanese voices (which is a fairly popular opinion around most parts, though I don’t have much problem with the English voice work myself).

Nintendo has finally heeded the calls, and decided to enable players to play the game in any supported language, on both, the Nintendo Switch and Wii U. Update 1.2.0 enables an option in the settings menu that lets you switch the voice work to any language of your choice from the supported ones. On the Switch, the option is enabled by default, since all the voice work is available on every cartridge by default- on the Wii U, you will have to download a free Voice Pack from the Nintendo eShop.

The languages supported are Japanese, English, French (France), French (Canada), German, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin America), Italian and Russian. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is available on Nintendo Switch and Wii U.
