Bandai Namco Confirms Continuing Support For The Nintendo Switch

It looks like they are getting ready to make the switch.

While Bandai Namco has been surprisingly cool on the Switch so far – we haven’t seen them release any game on the system yet, though that will change soon with Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and a new Tales of game, among others, planned for the system – it seems like they plan to be a long term supporter of it going forward nonetheless.

In the summary of their latest financial report, Namco very clearly specifies future ongoing support for the Nintendo Switch as a part of their plans. Hopefully, this means that we can see more Namco games hitting Nintendo’s system, which is extraordinarily well suited to the kinds of games they make. For Japanese third companies, at least, the Switch can be a machine they target alongside the PS4, and hopefully, Bandai Namco jumps on board that train, too.

Their first release will be Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, which you can pick up on September 22. Future Bandai Namco releases on the system are yet to be detailed.
