Steep DLC Is Getting Priority Over The Nintendo Switch Port

But the Nintendo Switch port is still very much a thing.

Remember how Ubisoft was supposed to have released Steep on the Switch? It was, in fact, one of the first games confirmed for the system. Here we are, seven and a half months into the system’s launch, and we still see no sign of the game on Nintendo’s hybrid.

That said, Ubisoft has confirmed that the Switch port is still very much a thing- it’s just not a priority right now. In fact, it sounds like the Road to Olympics DLC for Steep on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC is right now what Ubisoft is focusing on.

“Yes, [the Nintendo Switch port of Steep is] still planned, it’s still something we have in our mind and we are focusing on. But today our focus is really on releasing the expansion, and we will come to Switch after,”  Game Director Arnaud Ragot said in an interview with YouTuber Nerd Report.

I suppose that makes sense- they want to focus on the user base they do have for now, and the Switch is reportedly a platform that they have had trouble porting the game to. I just hope they do manage to get the Switch port out eventually.
