Assassin’s Creed Origins: Dev Teases Modern Day Setting In The Game

New Animus incoming.

Assassin’s Creed‘s modern day storyline has been a major point of discussion for series fans ever since the first game came out back in 2007, and even though that part of the story has diminished in important with every passing game, people are still curious to see how it takes shape in the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Origins.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is obviously going to be a pretty important game for the series’ story, seeing as its Ancient Egypt storyline portrays the birth of the assassin order, so it seems pretty safe to assume that the modern day storyline might see some major developments as well. And though we don’t have much to go on to base that assumption on, we do have something.

A Reddit user who runs an Assassin’s Creed blog in Brazil recently posted an excerpt of his interview with the game’s live content director, Bruno Guérin. When asked about the game’s modern day setting, he revealed some hints about what the Animus might look like in the upcoming game. Apparently, the game’s desynchronization loading screen has hints for the same according to the developer. According to the interviewer, it looks like the Animus in Assassin’s Creed: Origins might be a new portable version of the Animus 4.0 from the Assassin’s Creed movie.

That’s definitely interesting, and it could even have a significant impact on the game’s modern day storyline, both in terms of how it plays and the story. Take this information with a grain of salt but we should know soon as Assassin’s Creed Origins is just a week away from release now. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more updates.
