Dynasty Warriors 9 will be the next entry in the long running hack and slash series, and it also promises to be the first major shakeup the series has ever had by going fully open world. What kind of effect this has on the series’ traditional gameplay loop remains to be seen, but the brand new gameplay trailers that are out for the game, which you can see for yourself below, seem to indicate that the hack and slash that fans have come to love, has made it through unscathed.
The trailers show us footage of multiple officers and hero characters, including Huang Gai, Dong Zhuo, Zhuge Dan, Liu Shan, Guan Yinping, Cao Ren, Li Dian, and Ding Feng- that’s a lot of famous figures from Chinese history in here.
