E3 2011: Kinect Fun Labs Announced

Posted By | On 06th, Jun. 2011

Microsoft announced Kinect Fun Labs, Microsoft’s own take on the LittleBigPlanet genre, which will feature Kinect apps developed by anybody and everybody. Looks like Microsoft is finally recognizing Kinect hacks as legitimate, huh?

The many apps that were shown off included an avatar creation tool using Kinect recognition and a finger tracking app. While all of this is cool, it really doesn’t interest me as a hardcore gamer. The technophile in me though? Well, that guy screamed ‘it’s just like the 3DS’s Augmented Reality!’

The service launches NOW, so if you want some really cool Kinect apps (and trust me, they are genuinely, legitimately cool), then you might want to check it out now.
