Metroid Prime 4 Online Multiplayer Leaked?

If true, this would mark the first multiplayer in the series in nearly 15 years.

Nintendo told us two things at E3 2017 when Samus finally returned to prominence after a years long hiatus. That the Nintendo Switch would be getting a new entry in the legendary Metroid Prime series, with Metroid Prime 4, and secondly, it wasn’t being made by the original developers, Retro Studios.

Recent leaks continue to reveal more about the game, including the strong implication that its Bandai Namco who is developing Metroid Prime 4. Now another Linkedin profile, uncovered by the same Youtube user who found that Bandai Namco was likely making the game, Doctre81, suggests that the game might have some form of online component.

While not really new, multiplayer would not break new ground for the series. Metroid Prime 2, and the Wii port seen in Metroid Prime Trilogy, both featured somewhat well rounded arena shooter inspired modes. Metroid Prime 4 has no confirmed release date yet, but it’s probably deep in development for Nintendo Switch. Stick to Gamingbolt as we learn more about the game.
