Far Cry 5 is due out later this year- it’s just a few weeks away from launch. And that means that it is time for the Ubisoft marketing campaign to kick into overdrive. That includes a rather odd new trailer for the game, which went live on Ubisoft’s channel today.
The trailer is called “The Baptism”, and it is a live action advert; it’s a bit tonally off, and seems to be at odds with a lot of what we have seen of the game so far. It feels like on some level, this advertisement has been created just to stoke a level of controversy.
Far Cry 5 is going to be the first entry in Ubisoft’s open world first person action franchise to be set in the United States. The game is going to be launching on March 27, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Check out the new trailer for yourself below.
