Caged Element is hoping to fill the gaping, Twisted Metal shaped hole left in our collective lives this year with GRIP, releasing on PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One later in 2018 following a successful Kickstarter campaign. While it’s been available as an early access title for some time with fairly positive user reviews, the proper release will be more fleshed out.

Unreal Engine 4 powers the title, which the developers say was inspired by classic 90’s titles like the Rollcage games. The game has a seasoned team behind it to bring the action to life, and has promised that the power of Xbox One X and PS4 Pro will be leveraged; though the nature of said enhancements was not expanded upon.

When the game launches later this year, the press release promises a killer soundtrack to go with sweet, speedy and destructive action racing. We’re able to look forward to more coming out about the game when it’s avalible to the public at PAX East and EGX Rezzed soon. Are you interested in the game?
