Ni no Kuni Developer Confirms That All of its Future Games Will Come to Nintendo Switch

Level-5 has seen the light, at last!

Level-5 have always been ardent supporters of Nintendo systems—they put out some of the best games on the DS, and some of the most popular games on the 3DS. But so far, they haven’t been seen too much on the Switch. Much like other third parties, they weren’t too keen on it after the failure of the Wii U. Instead, their last few major games, like Ni no Kuni 2, were for the PS4.

However, it looks like the Switch’s insane success has changed their mind, as no less than Level-5 President Akihiro Hino has noted in an interview with Nikkei Trendy (translated via Gematsu) that the studio will be putting all its games on the Switch going forward. In fact, he noted, the studio will consider the Switch as the successor to the DS and the 3DS—given that the bulk of Level-5’s support was for the DS and 3DS, this can only be considered good news.

Who knows if this means something like Ni no Kuni 2 might come to the Switch too? For now, if you want to play it, it’s out on PS4 and PC.
