Nostalgia is a very pervasive force in the gaming industry and this is evident from the recent rise in interest in older games and consoles. Now, it appears that Sega is banking on this nostalgia wave as they’ve just announced the Mega Drive Mini.
The Mega Drive Mini is a classic console that has now been reconstructed into a smaller build, and it will come with all of the most popular games on the console. This is similar to what we’ve seen with Nintendo’s Classic NES and SNES. The information was first shared on RPGSite’s Twitter and you can even get a glimpse of the Mega Drive Mini in a picture. The console will also use “New and Improved” AtGames Technology. AtGames is known for developing flashback consoles like Genesis.
