Shenmue 1 and 2 HD

It was revealed  only a few days ago that Shenmue 1 & 2 would be re-released as part of a HD collection for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. While a few screenshots were released back then, the Japanese branch of Sega has now released some new screenshots of a higher resolution.

The higher resolution certainly makes a difference and makes these classic games look much better than we had anticipated. Given that these re-released games will also feature other improvements such as optimized UI, availability of modern and classic control schemes, it makes sense that these games will also look much better. These new screenshots showcase different aspects of the game including a forklift race, some fighting from the game, and more.

You can check out the new screenshots below. Shenmue 1 & 2 will re-release for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One later this year. In Japan, the collection will be released exclusively for the PS4.
