Super Bomberman R Switch Version Getting Classic Bomberman Character Max As An Exclusive

Plus, the original voice actors return for the guest characters in the PS4 and Xbox One versions.

When Super Bomberman R was announced for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, Konami also announced version exclusive characters for each of those versions- just the poor Switch was left without an exclusive character of its own. True, Switch owners have had the chance to play the game for almost a year and a half before owners of other systems will- but Switch owners also are the ones who elevated the game to a million seller. Surely they deserve an exclusive character of their own?

Konami apparently thinks so, because it has announced that Max, the classic Bomberman character who acts as an adversary to the eponymous mascot, will be coming to the Switch version exclusively, which is good news. More information on this will be shared at a later date.

That’s not all- the original voices for the guest characters in the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game will be voicing their incarnations in this title as well. Arnold Taylor and David Kaye will play the Ratchet & Clank Bomber in the PlayStation 4 version, while Steve Downes will be voicing the Master Chief Bomber in the Xbox One version. That’s pretty awesome.

Super Bomberman R is out now on the Nintendo Switch; it launches on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on June 12.
