A large part of the appeal of any FIFA game is, of course, engaging with its various online offerings. If you’ve been having issues with those due to bad connectivity or poor latency, FIFA 19’s update 1.07, recently rolled out by EA Sports, will probably be to your liking.

The update, which is roughly 1.27 GB in size, fixes issues with packet loss or high latency in several online modes of FIFA 19. Ultimate Team Champions, Ultimate Team Division Rivals, Ultimate Team Online Drafts, FIFA Pro Clubs, and FIFA Co-op Sessions have been specifically targeted by the newest update to improve gameplay responsiveness in situations where issues with connectivity on your opponent’s end might be messing up gameplay. As such, gameplay responsiveness in matches will now rely on the individual connections of each player, rather than on the connections of those you’re playing with or against. You can get the full patch notes below.

FIFA 19 is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, though this update does not apply to the Switch version. Last week in the UK, the game saw a bit of a bump in week-on-week sales and ranked second in the weekly physical sales charts. Read more on that through here

PATCH NOTES:

Some improvements to the responsiveness of gameplay in situations where your opponent’s network connection may be experiencing packet loss or high latency.

  • This change applies to the following game modes:
    • FUT Champions
    • FUT Division Rivals
    • FUT Online Draft
    • FIFA Pro Clubs
    • FIFA Co-Op Seasons
