GRIS

The beautiful and melancholic indie platformer GRIS, which hit the Nintendo Switch and PC last year, has sold over 300,000 copies, the developers announced on Twitter today. To celebrate this occasion, Devolver Digital (the publishers of the game) along with developers Nomada Studio announced in a press release that they will be issuing a new free update for the game today.

The update is called “GRIS Undone”, and features a music browser to let players listen to unused music tracks, as well as unusued concept art for players to view some early designs Nomada had. In addition, to encourage more people to buy the game, it’s also available on sale right now—to be specific, you can get it for 15% off on Nintendo Switch and PC alike.

Given how great the game is, this is as good a time as any to pick it up. It deals with some surprisingly heady subject matter with a level head, and is absolutely gorgeous along the way too.
