Blacksad Under the Skin

Publisher Microids has released a story trailer for the upcoming adaptation of the legendary French comic series, Blacksad: Under the Skin, developed by Pendulo Studios and YS Interactive. The series follows anthropomorphic characters, but tells a straight and gritty story of detective John Blacksad in a 1950s film noir setting.

The trailer, which you can see below, shows that Blacksad is caught up in a case about a boxer and the gym he frequents that is more than it seems, and he finds himself in tight situations with nothing but his fists and trusty revolver. He mulls over whether he should do things the right way, or go down some criminal shortcuts. While it tells us little about how the game plays, Microids says it’s an adventure game where your choices will have an impact on the narrative.

Blacksad: Under the Skin launches September 26th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. The game will also receive a Collector’s Edition that will include a statue of John Blacksad and a portfolio, which you can also see below.
