Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is looking to shake things up for Activision’s behemoth shooter franchise. We know they are changing up the way DLC will be delivered, while also introducing cross-play, which will be a big step in a new direction. It seems to be going for a darker and more sober tone as well- but one thing that should be familiar is the music. Composer Sarah Schachner has confirmed that she will be composing the game’s score.
Schachner has worked on several high-profile titles, including the recently released Anthem and Assassin’s Creed Origins. As you can see from her Twitter below, this isn’t her first rodeo with the Activision franchise either. She worked with Infinity Ward once before with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, the last game the studio worked on.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is set to release October 25th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. In the meantime, read up on the game’s impressive new engine.
Well I guess it’s public now…I’m scoring Modern Warfare and couldn’t be more thankful to get to work with Infinity Ward again on such an amazing project. It’s def been hard to keep this one secret 😄 #CallofDutyModernWarfare pic.twitter.com/nJvVJ3A0AS
