The Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening’s full remake is undoubtedly one of the most hotly anticipated upcoming Switch exclusives, and Nintendo showed it off proudly during their E3 2019 Direct presentation.

The gameplay video shown off will warm the hearts of many a Zelda fans. It showcased familiar locations, boss fights, endearing characters that we all love and remember fondly, combat footage, and more. New mechanics were also shown off, such as one that emphasizes dungeon exploration more than ever before. The art style’s looking incredibly charming as well- it’s had its fair share of criticism, but I have a feeling it might start growing on people if the game looks this good in action. Take a look below.

Nintendo also confirmed a release date for the upcoming remake. The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is out on the Switch on September 20, 2019, though many already knew that thanks to the recent leak. Stay tuned for more updates from Nintendo’s E3 2019 Direct.
