After an interesting side game that revived the No More Heroes series, we’re getting a proper, fully fleshed out sequel in the form of No More Heroes 3. The game is hitting the Switch next year, and its director, the legendary Suda 51, is hoping to knock it out of the park. He’s about halfway there, and he hopes to bring the first two games to modern systems as well.
In a lengthy interview with GameXplain, Suda talked about a lot of aspects of No More Heroes 3. When it came to how long we have to wait, he said right now the game is roughly half complete with development going smoothly. While he’s focused on the third game, he did say talks were ongoing about bringing the first two games to modern systems, something he’s mentioned before.
No More Heroes 1 and 2 were originally Wii titles. While the first saw a HD version for PS3 (that was not well-received) it and the second game have not seen any type of re-releases recently. He says right now the big hold up is whether or not they want to strive to do simple ports or more fully remastered projects with the two titles. You can see the full interview below.
No More Heroes 3 will release on Nintendo Switch sometime next year. Hopefully we’ll see the first two games, in some form, at some point as well.
