Apparently, a new Batman game is coming from WB Montreal. At least, that’s what seems to be continuously hinted at, though we’ve yet to have anything substantial from it. Well, whenever we actually see this thing, we at least have an idea of how it’ll sound as one of the legendary voices of the caped crusader confirmed he’s not part of the project.
In speaking with JOE, Kevin Conroy confirmed that he would not be part of the new game, which is presumably a continuation in some form of the Arkham franchise. When asked if he was part of it he gave the blunt answer of “I’m not.” He gave no elaboration on why.
Conroy voiced Batman in all of the Arkham games with the exception of Arkham Origins, which was the last title WB Montreal developed. He’s somewhat of a legend with the character, known for voicing the character in Batman: The Animated Series and continued to do so through various incarnations and mediums.
