JAPAN CHARTS: 3DS highest selling system, Monster Hunter tops software charts

The 3DS continues to be the highest selling gaming system in Japan, a third consecutive week. Again, Nintendo’s new handheld system has topped the hardware charts for the week, selling 60,781 units. The PSP dropped from #2 to #3, selling 31,31 units, while its console counterpart PS3 claimed its No. 2 position with sales of 33,141 units.

Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD, the PS3 re-release of the PSP version of the game, topped the software charts in its very first week on the market, with sales of 287,829 units. Check out the entire charts below:
