The Epic Games Store Adds OpenCritic Reviews

Developers can opt in and opt out of putting reviews on their page.

Epic-Games-Store-

There was a lot of criticisms leveled at the Epic Games Store. It was largely because of Epic Games paying timed third party exclusives for the storefront. But other criticisms have also come to the launcher’s bare-boned nature. It lacked even basic features that Steam had when it launched back in 2003. Epic has added some features slowly (very, very slowly) and now reviews are here.

Game listings will now have OpenCritic on their individual pages as illustrated via Epic Games’ Sergey Galyonkin official Twitter below. It will display major reviews first with a option to go to the full page. It seems as if developers and publishers can opt out of having the listing, so it won’t be universally standard.

Reviews from OpenCritic are lumped in with the likes of a shopping cart and selective cloud saves as standard things the store has lacked that have recently been added. While it’s been a slow process (again, very slow…very slow), hopefully it will eventually lead to the store having a robust feel.
