Persona 5 Scramble Shows Off Okinawa And Sapporo Jail In New Gameplay Footage

Two new locations get highlighted.

The upcoming spin-off, Persona 5 Scramble, will let us revisit the familiar and beloved characters from one of Atlus’ biggest games, Persona 5. There will be a lot that echoes that game in Persona 5 Scramble, such as the very anime-influenced opening for instance, but one thing that will be different is the location hopping. While the original Persona 5 was located only in Tokyo, Scramble will take us all over Japan.

In roughly 40 minutes of new footage, we get a look at two of those new locations. First, we get to see some exploration of Okinawa, one of Japan’s most luxurious locales, but we also see what it’s like to challenge enemies on a high difficulty mode there. Then we get Sapporo Jail, a rather unpleasant looking place. You can see the footage below; it’s all in Japanese but you can get the gist of things pretty easily even without understanding the language.

Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers will release for both PlayStation 4 and Switch on February 20 in Japan. A western release date hasn’t yet been announced.
