Infinity Ward is watching.

Call of Duty Warzone

The latest battle royale take on the massively popular franchise, Call of Duty: Warzone, seems to be quite the success. In a relatively short time, the game has already seen over 50 million players with a consistent line of updates. Unfortunately, due to the popularity and ease of access being free to play, it also attracts a lot of cheating. While it’s probably something impossible to wipe out completely, especially in open platforms like the PC, it does seem Infinity Ward is trying.

In a post from the developer’s official Twitter they reveal that they have already dropped the ban hammer on 70,000 users who were caught in the act of cheating. They also strike a pretty aggressive tone, pledging they will ban even more and are watching closely while working on ways to improve in-game reporting alongside more improved security updates.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
