It’s no secret there’s a pretty significant power difference between Nintendo’s latest system, the Switch, and current hardware on the market. The hybrid nature of the system has been one of its biggest selling points, but also unfortunately has meant a lot of third party support has not been as viable as Sony and Microsoft’s machines. But there has been some ‘miracle ports’ to the system, such as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which was called the “the impossible port.” Now the same company that helped bring CD Projekt RED’s fantasy epic to the system is signalling more miracles could be coming.

In an interview with Wccftech, CEO Matthew Karch talked about Saber Interactive’s present and future. When it came to the topic of the Switch, he actually said he believed there was some untapped potential to Nintendo’s hybrid even still, and that the company is continuing to develop new titles for it. He even points to more ports upcoming that will ‘surprise’ people.

“We are big fans of the Nintendo Switch and feel there is still a lot of great potential in the hardware and the platform. We have had enormous success so far, launching many titles on the Switch, and we are continuing to develop for the platform. We do feel there is more developers can get out of the Switch hardware, and we think fans will be surprised at some of the upcoming titles for it.”

We know that Saber Interactive is in the process of porting their own World War Z to the system, something they claim is the most difficult port they’ve done so far. The Switch has continued to sell astonishingly well despite the power gap, but it’s always interesting to see what unexpected game we will see for it next.
